Limited-edition Indian Bloodwood, Insonia, & Others- Hand Colored Etching

Bright, vibrant colors in this original hand-colored etching were published in 1845 for the botanical publication "Das Pflanzenreich in vollständigen Beschreibungen" (The plant kingdom). The author of this series was Wilhelm Ludwig Petermann, noted German botanist, professor of philosophy and botany, and curator of the Herbarium at the University of Leipzig. A very rare find!

Condition: Age-appropriate wear. Paper toning in accordance with the print's age. Marks/stains as per photo. Wear around the edges and minor paper loss might be present in some prints. Please refer to each print's photo to get a better understanding of the condition.
